TJ Ballantyne est le propri\u00e9taire du \u00ab\u00a0Old Oak\u00a0\u00bb, un pub situ\u00e9 dans une petite bourgade du nord de l\u2019Angleterre. Il y sert quotidiennement les m\u00eames habitu\u00e9s d\u00e9s\u0153uvr\u00e9s pour qui l\u2019endroit est devenu le dernier lieu o\u00f9 se retrouver. L\u2019arriv\u00e9e de r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s syriens va cr\u00e9er des tensions dans le village. TJ va cependant se lier d\u2019amiti\u00e9 avec Yara, une jeune migrante passionn\u00e9e par la photographie. Ensemble, ils vont tenter de redonner vie \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 locale en d\u00e9veloppant une cantine pour les plus d\u00e9munis, quelles que soient leurs origines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE OLD OAK is a special place. Not only is it the last pub standing, but it’s also the only remaining public space where people can meet in a once thriving mining community that has now fallen on hard times after 30 years of decline. TJ Ballantyne (Dave Turner) the landlord hangs on to The Old Oak by his fingertips, and his predicament is endangered even more when the pub becomes contested territory after the arrival of Syrian refugees who are placed in the village without any notice. In an unlikely friendship TJ meets a curious young Syrian Yara [Ebla Mari] with her camera. Can they find a way for the two communities to understand each other? So unfolds a deeply moving drama about their fragilities and hopes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
